Dr. Harrup Kaur grew up in Vancouver, Canada where she obtained her Bachelor of Science, Master of Health Science in Clinical Epidemiology and Medical degrees from the prestigious University of British Columbia with multiple academic honors and scholarships. She completed her internship at the University of California, San Diego. She received her Ophthalmology training at the world-renown Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Kaur is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Kaur's research interests include pediatric vision loss, screening for diabetic eye diseases, diagnostic imaging for glaucoma and thyroid eye disease. She has published articles in multiple journals, including Ophthalmology, Cornea and the American Journal of Ophthalmology. She has presented at the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Annual Meeting and at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. She completed her second book chapter last year.

Dr. Kaur has a special interest in international medicine and has participated in multiple expeditions to provide medical and surgical care to the underserved areas of the world.

  • Cataract surgery and Laser Cataract surgery using only topical anesthesia, without stitches, with premium multifocal and toric intraocular lenses
  • Medical, laser and surgical treatment of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, eye infections, dry eyes and various eyelid disorders
  • Pterygium surgery with no stitches and graft tissues
  • Cosmetic eyelid surgery and the use of Botox and dermal fillers to improve the appearance of the area surrounding the eyes
  • Children's eye care: the medical and surgical treatment of pediatric eye conditions
